Users


This tab is probably the most important tab when it comes to managing everybody in your domain. I will cover the overview here and go into more details in other pages.


On this main page you will find the user's name, extension, department, and the pencil icon to edit the specific users. You can also manager the Shared Contacts for the users, import users, or add individual users. You can also search for specific users or departments using the search field above Name.


You can manage each user by either clicking on their Name or by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of department.



The User profile will basic information for the individual user. Their outbound caller ID, email address, passwords, voicemail PIN, portal and reachUC login information, call recording options, etc.


Answering Rules will manage the rules for when calls are routed to this user. Most users will not have anything too fancy in here, but some power users and routing users can have multiple rules in place to route calls. For more information on this tab, please view the Basic User Portal access for Answering Rules. This is that tab view for each specific user.


Voicemail will manage the options for the user's voicemail. Can view and edit greetings, how voicemail is handled, if voicemail is sent to the email address in the profile tab, and even clearing out a voicemail box. For more information on this tab, please view the Basic User Portal access for Messages. This is that tab view for each specific user.


Phones will show you all of the phones attached to this user. Generally you will not have to mess with this, or you will want to contact our Tech Support line to help out.


Advanced is only used for sending out Welcoming emails to new hires to get their password and voicemail PIN set up as well as resetting a user or a few of their settings.


It is very easy to change things here that have unintended consequences so please be careful and do not hesitate to call our support line if you are unsure about something! We will be more than happy to help you out.
